Vikas Patel

Hi, I am Vikas, a Machine Learning Scientist II at Nykaa and an IIT Guwahati alumnus. I bring to the table deep technical expertise in building and productionalizing large-scale Data Science and Machine Learning systems, specializing in advanced recommendation engines, retrieval architectures, representation learning, and LLM-powered RAG frameworks. In addition to my industry experience, I have successfully mentored over 200+ students and working professionals, guiding them through career transitions into the DS and ML domains, as well as supervising complex research projects. I bring a strong combination of real-world engineering impact and proven mentorship experience, and I look forward to helping mentees navigate system architecture, code quality, and advanced projects in DS, ML, and Agentic AI.
